You are invited to join the Ballymurphy Families on our main event of the year 2015. March of Truth as we revisit the locations where our loved ones were murdered march finishes at o’Dee’s GAAhttp://www.odonnellsgac.com/location/. football pitch. Annually we are joined by support from Dublin, England,Scotland, USA ,Germany , Basque Country and many more . We invite all NGO’s to take part and ask them promote to all their members .

We ask campaign groups and those effected by state violence please bring along photo’s of your loved ones and campaign banners .last year Teresa Villiers refused the Ballymurphy Families the implementation of a Hillsborough style independent panel headed by Nuala O’loan show your support that it is in our “public interest” to investigate the murders of 11 innocent civilians in August 1971 . Speakers to be confirmed.

There will be a dramatic reenactment of the shooting of Father Hugh Mullan and Frank Quinn by the caste of the Play Ballymurphy ‘The Aftermath’ at Springfield Park (Moyard Park Field) (just of the Springfield Road) behind Owenvale Court.

This play tells the story of The Ballymurphy Massacre in 1971 and the campaign that the families have waged to reveal the truth about the situation to the world. The play was a huge success at last years Feile, shocking and moving its audience. The Daily Mirror called it ‘unflinching’ and ‘unsanitised’.

the campaign carries on, a recent victory was the decision to reopen the inquests on 10 of the deaths. But a few weeks ago, Owen Paterson,the secretary of state, announced that there would be no public enquiry into the killings, that it would not be in the public interest. How does he define public interest. Which public? Whose interest?

The Ballymurphy Families have sent an open invitation to Owen Paterson to come along to the play to see if this heart rending tragedy in which the families have lived through and continue to search for the Truth of the deaths of their loved ones for the last 40years is not in the public interest.
